Reggie & Unique

Unique and Reggie met in the spring of 2015. They met through Greek life while Unique was attending Quinnipiac University and Reggie was attending Southern Connecticut State University. Unique being a member of Sigma Gamma Rho and Reggie being a member of Phi Beta Sigma, their paths were bound to cross. After meeting, Reggie decided Unique had “too much hype” and gave up on getting to know her after she did not text him back one day and never heard from her for several months. They ran into one another at an event (months after the text) and Unique made a comment about Reggie not texting her back. Reggie quickly whipped out his phone and proved that it was in fact Unique who dropped the ball. Unique blushed and responded with, “Oh…”. From that day on, they spoke every single day. That fall, Unique broke her knee. Reggie heroically stayed at her apartment to take care of her. If you let him tell it, this is how she “trapped him.” In the words of Unique, “He stayed a few weeks and decided to stay forever.” Since then, they have moved into a home together, graduated from undergrad and grad school, made progress in their careers, and welcomed a beautiful baby, Reggie IV into this world.
